Here’s the function of the little button on your seatbelt

When you’re wearing your seat belt, chances are you’ve never noticed that little plastic button on the strap.

Although it seems an insignificant detail, it plays a key role in both comfort and safety when driving.

What is the seat belt button for?

This small component, known as a hold button or stopper, prevents the metal buckle (the piece that clips onto the clasp) from sliding too far down when the belt is not in use.
